[2]  Maslow subsequently extended the idea to include his observations of humans' innate curiosity. His theories parallel many other theories of human  developmental psychology , some of which focus on describing the stages of growth in humans. He then created a classification system which reflected the universal needs of society as its base and then proceeding to more acquired emotions.   Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is the basis Abraham Maslow  states that psychological health is not possible unless the essential core of the person is fundamentally accepted, loved and respected by others and by her or his self. Self-esteem allows people to face life with more confidence, benevolence and optimism, and thus easily reach their goals and self-actualize. Self-esteem may make people convinced they deserve happiness. .
